Porcelain Blueberry Hermit Crab - Light Blue

This piece was inspired by the blueberry hermit crab (Coenobita purpureu), native to Japan and known for their beautiful blue and purple hues. It's carefully handmade from delicate porcelain, glazed and fired to 1200C degrees. It measures roughly 9x9x6cm (3.5x2.5").

Hermit crabs are curious little creatures—always exploring, rearranging, and occasionally hiding away in their shells when the world feels too big. They are deeply invested in the placement of every tiny rock and are quite sensitive to changes in their environment. 

Please take care when handling, porcelain is quite fragile. Due to the handmade nature of this piece, there may be minor imperfections and the colors may vary from your screen.
